here is how i distracted myself today:

been looking at water filtration systems for the place for a few months now, but everything was too difficult to install. A new showerhead with a filter in it did the trick! its like showering under a brita basically. mounting it was pretty difficult as there was an elaborate showerhead there before, so i built a little connector tube today and all is well. cool!

Chlorine is the primary disinfectant used to purify city drinking water. It controls many water-borne diseases, include typhoid fever, cholera, and dysentery. But it should also be known that -

- Chlorine is one of the most toxic substances known. It does everything from drying out your skin to destroying beneficial bacteria in your colon.

- The byproducts of chlorination (such as chloroform, dichloro acedic acid, and MX) which are found in drinking water are all proven carcinogens.

- According to the US Council on Env Quality, the cancer risk among people drinking tap water is 93% higher than those without chlorine.

- you absorb more chlorine through your skin and steam in your lungs in a 15 minute hot shower than you do by drinking 8 glasses of tap water throughout the day.

Chlorine basically needs to be a part of city water to keep outbreaks under control, but the downside is it also is a slowly making you more susceptible to sickness and giving you cancer.

tonight I watched two great things - the movie Surfwise, and a very cool video interview with | dr harvey bigelsen | on how the body creates diseases - in particular women’s diseases, and hepatitis C.

well, people laughed at me when i tried to tell them the stock market was gonna crash. oh its still got further to go. i’ve been told it will go down to around 8000 or so. so while the news is hoooing and haaaing over this bailout bill, here is what’s gonna happen next week.

“Unless the LIBOR rate drops sharply we are facing a planetary financial crisis next week.”

should be another fun week. haha. and yes, the bailout bill will pass the second time around, further screwing everyone - well not all of us
